Protein-Packed Chocolate Mug Cake

GOOD EATS

A quick bite of cake won't hurt... right? Well, it does not have to hurt. With this mug cake you can get your sweet fix without the BS. Let's dive in.

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (or sugar free/zero calorie syrup, if that's your thing)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: sliced strawberries, chopped nuts, Greek yogurt

Instructions:

In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the protein powder, almond flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder until well combined.

Add the honey or maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until you have a smooth batter.

Microwave the mug cake on high for 60-90 seconds, or until the cake has risen and is firm to the touch.

Carefully remove the mug from the microwave (it will be hot!) and let it cool for a minute or two.

Top your protein mug cake with your favorite toppings, such as sliced strawberries, chopped nuts, or a dollop of Greek yogurt.

Enjoy your protein-packed treat!
