Protein-Packed Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized apples, sliced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional: use low calorie or sugar free syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted (or butter)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, and ground cinnamon. Mix well until evenly combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, toss the sliced apples with honey or maple syrup (if using) and melted coconut oil until well coated.
  4. Spread the sliced apples evenly in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the oat-protein mixture evenly over the apples, covering them completely.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
